Foxs sexual orientation began to come to the surface in 1999 when she judged a lesbian beauty pageant. Rumours circulated that the woman she was residing with during the pageant, Cris Bonacci (ex-Girlschool guitarist), was her lover. Though the two women did stay together, neither stated publicly that they were lovers. The relationship, however, was later confirmed by Bonacci in an interview. Prior to Bonacci, Fox shared her home with Debbie Connor, but again she herself never stated that they were romantically linked, only that they were best mates.
